Artistic Staff

Linda Crawford- Artistic Director (Adult and Youth Choirs)
A native of Quebec City, Linda studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Quebec, and Université Laval, where she earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education. Later, she also studied conducting and Baroque choral literature at Westminster Choir College, and the University of Toronto. She teaches Music and French at Goulbourn Middle School. Within the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, Linda founded the Intermediate Music Subject Council which supports Instrumental Music teachers. She received the OCDSB Arts Recognition Award for excellence in Music Education and the promotion of the Arts in the community. Linda is also business manager for the Sarah Burnell Band, a local Celtic music ensemble.

Doll Creelman-Accompanist (Piano and Organ)
Doll studied classical organ and church music at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. For 5 years she worked with music professionals at high schools in Fairbanks, Alaska and as accompanist for a number of voice majors at the University of Alaska. She also accompanied the University Chorus Community Choir. Currently, Doll is Minister of Music at Stittsville United Church and has started a new music studio in our community. We are thrilled to have Doll as our accompanist. Not only is she technically skilled, but she also possesses the rare gift of sensitive and collaborative accompanying.

Our Executive

Each year, the GJS adult membership elects an Executive Committee which serves as the governing body of the organization. This hard-working group of volunteers provides excellent leadership for the group, and fantastic support for the Artistic staff. We welcome new members to serve this committee, and encourage them to share their enthusiasm and expertise with the organization.
